PHILADELPHIA, PA — An incident involving a police vehicle occurred early this morning in the 15th District. At 3:23 AM, on the 3200 block of Friendship Street, a marked police car was intentionally struck by a white Chevy Camaro in an alleyway.

The collision caused significant damage to the police vehicle, including front-end damage and a broken front axle. The officer operating the vehicle was promptly transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by colleagues and is anticipated to be treated and released.

Both the police car and the Chevy Camaro required towing from the scene. An arrest has been made in connection with the incident. The area is still secured as the investigation continues.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is handling the ongoing investigation. Further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
