Twelve New Jersey players win big in Christmas Eve Powerball drawing

Trenton, NJ – A dozen Powerball players across New Jersey hit big on Christmas Eve, each claiming either $50,000 or $100,000 in the December 24 drawing, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

The top prize of $100,000 was won on a ticket sold at Quick Chek #165 on Ridgedale Avenue in Cedar Knolls, Morris County. That player doubled the standard $50,000 payout by adding the Power Play feature, which multiplied the prize by two.

The other eleven winning tickets, each worth $50,000, were sold at the following locations across the state:

Mi Tienda Carniceria, 88 S Washington Ave, Bergenfield, Bergen County
Main Street Food, 50 Main St, South Bound Brook, Somerset County

Wawa #8417, 1413 Highway 36, Hazlet, Monmouth County
Walmart #1921, 525 Route 72 West, Manahawkin, Ocean County

Totowa Food Store, 539 Union Blvd, Totowa, Passaic County
Union Liquors, 710 Summit Ave, Union City, Hudson County

In total, the drawing generated more than $700,000 in second-tier Powerball prizes across the state.

Players are reminded to check their tickets and claim prizes through the New Jersey Lottery’s official process.
