President Biden Says U.S. Constitution Can Evolve to Curtail Rights of Americans

February 3, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC – When Joe Biden went off script on Tuesday during a discussion about his plan to fill a vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court, the President began talking about the U.S. Consitution, and not in a good way. Biden called the Constitution “always evolving”.

The President added that the Constitution can be modified in a way to curtail the existing rights of Americans, not just to add more rights.

“You know, it’s…There’s always a renewed national debate everytime we nominate any, presidental nomination, justice because the Constitution is always evolving slightly,” Biden said. “In terms of additional rights or curtailing rights, etc. It’s always an issue.”
