Prince George’s nurse replays old Racetrax ticket and wins nearly $31K

Berwyn Heights, MD – A Prince George’s County woman turned a previously played Racetrax ticket into a $30,879 jackpot win after replaying it on her way to work last week.

The Berwyn Heights nurse stopped at Parkway Liquors on September 24 to cash in some scratch-offs, including a $100 winner. She used those winnings to purchase a new Racetrax ticket, asking the cashier to simply replay one from her old stack.

The $20 Trifecta ticket, good for 20 races, carried the numbers 10, 12, and 11. Later that day, she spotted the winning sequence on a Racetrax monitor while shopping for groceries.

She said she was speechless when she realized the horses had finished in the exact order, securing her the $30,879 prize. Excited, she called off work and shared the news with her children and her pastor, noting that part of the winnings will go toward church renovations currently underway.

The winner also plans to pay off bills and make improvements around her home. Earlier this year, she had another stroke of luck with a significant Keno prize.

Parkway Liquors, located at 6017 Greenbelt Avenue, will receive a $308.79 bonus for selling the ticket.
