Queens man arrested for deadly stabbing of his 76-year-old father

Queens, NY – A Queens man was arrested Sunday morning after his 76-year-old father was found stabbed to death inside their South Ozone Park residence, police said.

The incident unfolded late Saturday night around 11:39 p.m. at 159-03 102 Street in the 106th Precinct. Responding officers discovered the elder victim, identified as John Muraco, with a stab wound to the chest. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Just hours later, at approximately 8:20 a.m. Sunday, investigators arrested the victim’s son, 25-year-old Carl Muraco, at the same address. He has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive, and the investigation remains active.
