NEW YORK, N.Y. – Clouds will build over New York City heading into the weekend, bringing rounds of rain Saturday before colder, gustier conditions move in Sunday.
Friday will see increasing clouds with a chance of rain after 3 p.m. Highs will reach near 52 degrees as south winds strengthen between 6 and 14 mph. Saturday will turn wetter and cooler, with rain likely by late afternoon. Highs will reach about 46 degrees, with light north winds turning east as the day progresses. Rain is expected to become steady Saturday night, with up to three-quarters of an inch possible and temperatures holding around 44 degrees. Winds will shift northwest after midnight.
Sunday brings a gradual improvement. Lingering morning rain should give way to partial sunshine by afternoon, but strong west winds between 13 and 21 mph will make it feel brisk. Temperatures will hover near 43 throughout the day.
