Reading Police seek information on concerning incident near school

READING, PA — The Reading Police Department is looking for information regarding an incident that occurred during student arrival at Tyson-Schoener Elementary School. The incident raised significant concern and took place on Wednesday, September 24, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:10 a.m.

The event happened in the 300 block of S. 5th Street and involved a male suspect driving a dark blue Buick Lucerne in the westbound lane. Authorities are actively seeking witnesses.

“Anyone who may have personally observed the incident or seen the suspect involved is asked to contact the City of Reading Police Department,” stated the police.

Community members can reach the non-emergency dispatch at (610) 655-6116. Those who provide information are encouraged to reference Incident #: 25-040473.
