Riverdale carjacker arrested in District Heights

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD – Police have arrested Larry Hagans, 25, for a carjacking he allegedly committed in January in the Riverdale area.

Hagans, of District Heights, was arrested at around 4 pm after police conducted a stop of the vehicle reportedly carjacked in the area of Silver Hill Court.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Washington Area Vehicle Enforcement team arrested a man who was in possession of a car that had recently been carjacked in the Riverdale area. The suspect is 27-year-old Larry Hagans of District Heights.

“The vehicle had been carjacked at gunpoint on January 17, 2023, in the 800 block of Rittenhouse Street. Detectives took Hagans into custody. They recovered a loaded handgun in his coat,” police reported.
