Road Rage Leads to Shooting on I-495 Near Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a road rage incident that escalated into a shooting early Saturday morning on Interstate 495. The incident occurred at approximately 12:28 a.m. near the junction with Interstate 95.

During the altercation, a 47-year-old man was shot in the wrist after an unknown driver in a blue car pulled alongside his vehicle and fired shots. The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The suspect driving the blue car fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

As of now, details about the interaction leading up to the shooting are still under investigation, and no suspect information has been released. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
