ROANOKE, VA – A male individual was found injured following a shooting that occurred early Sunday at about 1:25 a.m.
The Roanoke Police were informed about shots being fired near 8th Street and Gilmer Avenue NW by the City of Roanoke E-911 Center.
Officers on the scene found an adult male with what looked like serious gunshot wounds outside a residence on the 900 block of Gilmer Avenue NW.
Roanoke Fire-EMS assisted the victim, transporting him to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
