Victim hospitalized after robbery inside Southeast DC business

Washington, DC – A robbery inside a Southeast business sent one person to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after two suspects assaulted the victim and fled with stolen property in broad daylight, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident occurred around 2:28 p.m. on November 25 inside a commercial establishment in the 2200 block of Alabama Avenue SE. Police say the suspects approached the victim, assaulted them, and took personal property before escaping the scene. The victim was later transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance footage from a nearby camera captured images of the suspects, and police are now working to identify them. A video of the suspects has been released as part of the department’s ongoing investigation.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact the department at (202) 727-9099 or anonymously text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
