Rockland County reels in big win with top-prize lottery ticket

NANUET, NY — A lucky lottery player has scored a $28,688.50 top prize in the May 11 evening drawing of the New York Lottery’s TAKE 5 game, officials announced Monday.

The winning ticket was sold at Nanuet CardSmart, located at 25 Rockland Center. The retailer becomes the latest to join the growing list of outlets across the state to sell a top-prize TAKE 5 ticket.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with numbers drawn from a pool of one through 39. Players have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

TAKE 5 continues to deliver payouts across the region

The New York Lottery, which contributes billions annually to support public education in the state, has reported numerous high-tier wins in recent weeks, reflecting the popularity and reach of the TAKE 5 game.
