Rosedale Man Strikes Lottery Gold Again with $26,748 Win

ROSEDALE, MD — A Baltimore County man has claimed a surprising $26,748 Racetrax prize from the Maryland Lottery, marking his second significant win following a $100,000 scratch-off victory over a decade ago. Returning to Lottery headquarters last week, the retiree was astounded by his continued luck.

The Rosedale resident, a retired contractor, expressed his disbelief: “I just assumed that I’d enjoyed my share of Lottery luck—more than my share,” he said. Despite his previous major win, he continued playing, enjoying modest victories over the years, never expecting another large payout.

His recent win came from a $4.80 Superfecta Box wager at Harford Mart in Baltimore, where he had been playing the numbers 5, 7, 8, and 12 for months, drawn to them by a gut feeling. The win was bolstered by a Bonus option, boosting his total prize to $26,748.60.

Maintaining his composure as his chosen numbers crossed the finish line, the winner described the moment as hard to believe yet thrilling. With his new winnings, he plans to pay off bills.

Harford Mart, where the winning ticket was purchased, is located at 7330 Harford Road in Baltimore City. The store will receive a bonus of $267.48, equivalent to 1% of the prize, for selling the winning ticket.
