Routine Traffic Stop in Syracuse Leads to Weapon Charges for Two

SYRACUSE, NY – On Sunday, at around 9:13 PM, Officers Millet and Reynolds conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry in the 1100 block of Midland Avenue.

The stop was initiated due to the vehicle’s malfunctioning tail lights.

Upon discovering that the driver only had a permit and the passenger lacked a valid license, officers conducted a search of the vehicle.

During the search, a loaded semi-automatic Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun was discovered concealed beneath the driver’s seat, partially hidden by a black sock.

Both the driver, 22-year-old Tanisha Pizzaro, and the passenger, 22-year-old Emanuel Laureano, were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second and Third Degrees, as well as Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
