Savannah Street shooting suspect arrested nearly two years after fatal incident

WASHINGTON, DC – Nearly two years after a deadly shooting on Savannah Street in Southeast, police have arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide.

The shooting occurred on Saturday, February 25, at approximately 3:01 p.m. Seventh District officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 2200 block of Savannah Street and found three adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

One of the victims, identified as 37-year-old Brice Djembissi of Hyattsville, MD, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, March 3.

On Monday, December 9, 21-year-old Dionzai Parker of Southeast DC was arrested pursuant to a DC Superior Court indictment. He has been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
