Lakewood, NJ – Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Finchley Boulevard and River Avenue Monday morning after a motor vehicle crash involving a school bus.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m., prompting a response from the Lakewood Police Department and the Lakewood Fire Department after reports of a fuel spill at the scene.
No injuries reported
Authorities said no injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Emergency crews worked to secure the area and address the fuel spill before the scene was cleared.
Police have not released additional details about how the crash occurred or whether any citations were issued.
Bus operated by Lakewood company
Records show the bus is registered to WAY 2 GO, LLC, a Lakewood-based transportation company located on Hadassah Lane.
According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s school bus safety records, this was the first reported crash involving the company during the past 24-month reporting period.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
