MINEOLA, NY – A 30-year-old Seaford man has been indicted on multiple murder charges for allegedly stabbing his parents to death inside their longtime family-owned deli in Bethpage, Nassau County prosecutors announced.
District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly said Vito Dambrosio was arraigned before Judge Howard Sturim on charges of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, both A-I felonies, in connection with the December 4, 2025, killings of his parents, Angela Pulisciano, 62, and Antonio Dambrosio, 70. The defendant pleaded not guilty and was remanded pending his next court appearance on January 30. If convicted, he faces a potential life sentence without parole.
According to the indictment, the fatal attack occurred around 9:11 a.m. inside A&A Italian Deli and Pizza on Hicksville Road, a neighborhood staple the couple had owned and operated for more than three decades. Prosecutors said Dambrosio entered the store while customers were present and allegedly used a 14-inch chef’s knife to stab both victims.
Investigators reported that Pulisciano was found behind the counter with fatal wounds to her throat, and her husband, Antonio, was discovered nearby after being stabbed in the carotid artery and dragged from the kitchen area. The knife used in the attack was recovered at the scene.
Prosecutors said Dambrosio called 911 immediately after the incident and waited in his car for police to arrive. Officers from the Nassau County Police Department’s Eighth Precinct and Homicide Squad found him with blood on his hands and clothing, and he was taken into custody without incident.
District Attorney Donnelly described the case as one of the most tragic in recent memory. “Angela and Antonio were simply helping customers at the deli they owned and operated for more than 30 years when they were viciously attacked and stabbed in broad daylight, allegedly by their own son,” Donnelly said. She added that the couple’s deli “was a community staple, always filled with regulars whom they knew by name,” and that their loss “has been heartbreaking to the many customers who frequented their store over the years.”
The Nassau County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case through Deputy Bureau Chief Veronica Guariglia of the Homicide Bureau, under the supervision of Bureau Chief Daryl Levy and Executive Assistant District Attorney Kevin Higgins.
