Second Suspect Arrested in Connection to November 2023 Homicide

SILVER SPRING, Md. — A second individual has been arrested in connection to the November 2023 homicide of 20-year-old Orlando Alexander Satz, Jr., authorities announced on Tuesday.

De’Shaun McCrimmon, 22, was charged with first-degree murder for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of Satz, Jr. The victim died on November 28, 2023, after crashing his vehicle into a parked car on Spruell Drive in Montgomery County. Responding personnel from Montgomery County Fire Rescue discovered that Satz, Jr. had sustained apparent gunshot wounds.

Jose Ramon Ventura was previously arrested on June 20, 2024, and charged with accessory after the fact. Ventura is accused of driving and transporting McCrimmon and another individual believed to be connected to the homicide of Satz, Jr.

On Saturday, August 24, detectives secured a warrant for McCrimmon’s arrest, charging him with first-degree murder. He was taken into custody on Tuesday, August 27, in Silver Spring and is currently being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, awaiting a bond hearing.
