Security Guard Stabbed at South Jersey Chicken or the Egg Restaurant

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – A stabbing incident occurred at the Chicken or the Egg Bar/Restaurant in Evesham Township in the early hours of December 23.

Evesham Police were called to the scene at 121 E Route 70, Marlton, NJ, around 1:00 AM. They found a security guard who had been stabbed while trying to break up a fight. Officers provided first aid to control the bleeding before the victim was transported to Cooper Hospital, where he is now in stable condition.

The assailant, identified as Marcus Brown, was apprehended at the scene. Brown also sustained injuries during the incident and was taken to Cooper Hospital. The weapon used in the stabbing was recovered at the scene.

Brown faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is currently held in Burlington County Jail, awaiting his first appearance in Superior Court.
