Lawrence County Powerball ticket wins $150K with Power Play boost
Ellwood City, PA – A Powerball ticket sold in Lawrence County turned a $5 add-on into a $150,000 prize after the ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the November 26 drawing.
The winning ticket was sold at Sheetz, 14 5th Street in Ellwood City Borough, and would have been worth $50,000 without the Power Play option. However, the player opted in for the extra $1 Power Play feature, and with a 3x multiplier drawn, the prize tripled to $150,000.
The numbers drawn that night were 7, 8, 15, 19, 28, and the Powerball number was 3.
The Sheetz location will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The prize is subject to applicable state and federal tax withholdings. The identity of the winner is not yet known, pending prize claim and ticket validation.
Players in Pennsylvania are reminded to check every ticket and sign the back before submitting a claim. Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
The November 26 drawing was part of the current Powerball run, which has generated over $55 million in ticket sales in Pennsylvania alone. That sales volume has produced more than $22 million in profit to benefit programs for older Pennsylvanians.
The Powerball jackpot has now climbed to $740 million, with a $346.1 million cash option for tonight’s drawing.
