Every adoptable kennel is full at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, where staff say Haze continues to be passed over despite being ready for adoption.
JACKSON, N.J. — The Northern Ocean County Animal Facility says every adoptable kennel is currently full as staff continues searching for a home for Haze, a 2-year-old dog who has spent weeks waiting to be adopted.
According to the shelter, Haze is friendly, loyal and affectionate once he becomes comfortable with new people. Staff say he keeps his kennel clean, enjoys daily walks and is ready to leave shelter life behind for a permanent home.
The shelter said Haze is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Officials recommend a home without young children or cats. If a prospective adopter already has a dog, the shelter requires a meet-and-greet before adoption.
With every adoptable kennel occupied, shelter staff say finding homes for dogs like Haze will help create space for other animals in need.
Haze is available for adoption at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The shelter is open daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and appointments are not required.
