Shooting in Rockville leaves one injured and two suspects in custody

ROCKVILLE, MD — An adult male was shot multiple times Thursday evening in Rockville, prompting a swift police response and the arrest of two suspects.

Shortly after 6 p.m., officers from the Rockville City Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Washington St. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical personnel from the Montgomery County Division of Fire Rescue transported the man to a nearby hospital. Authorities reported that he is in stable condition.

Officers at the scene quickly located and detained two suspects in connection with the shooting. The names of the suspects and potential charges have not yet been released.

The 200 block of N. Washington St. remains closed as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
