Shooting in Somers Leaves One Dead, Two Hospitalized

Somers, NY – The New York State Police are conducting an investigation into a shooting incident in Somers. This event occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Saturday.

One victim has died due to the shooting. Two other individuals are currently being treated in local hospitals.

Fernando Jimenez, 40, has been identified as the suspect and was last seen near Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley. Jimenez, who knew the victims, is believed to be armed.

The police advise against approaching Jimenez. Anyone with information is urged to call 911. Jimenez is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, and wearing black sweatpants and a grey sweatshirt during the incident.
