SEVERN, MD — A Severn man has been arrested following a shooting incident where he allegedly discharged a firearm near several individuals without causing physical injuries. The event occurred on Thursday evening, around 6:45 PM, in the 8400 block of Jacobs Road.

According to the police report, James R. Frend Jr., aged 33, emerged from his residence, brandished a handgun, and fired a round into the ground while in proximity to several victims. No injuries were reported from the incident. Police promptly responded, securing the weapon and arresting Frend at the scene.
