RALEIGH, NC – An early Sunday morning shooting in a residential area near Lake Boone Trail has resulted in one person being injured. Raleigh Police were called to the scene in the 2400 block of Wesvill Court around 1:56 AM following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers found one individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was promptly transported to the hospital with injuries reported as non-life-threatening. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
