Shooting victim hospitalized after attack in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A man was hospitalized with serious injuries Monday after being shot multiple times near the intersection of North Morris and West Allen Streets, according to a statement released by the Allentown Police Department.

At approximately 4:42 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area and found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the face and body. Officers provided first aid at the scene, and the victim was transported to a local hospital by Allentown EMS.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and that there is no immediate threat to the public.
