WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ — Wall Township police made multiple arrests between April 21 and April 29, ranging from shoplifting and driving while intoxicated to warrant apprehensions, according to the department’s activity report.
On April 21, Cheryl Bereschak, 61, of Manasquan, was arrested by Patrolman Daniel Grothues for allegedly shoplifting at the ShopRite on State Highway 34. She was processed and released on a summons. That same day, Patrolman Vincent Colucci arrested Roberto Pires, 40, of North Brunswick, during a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 138 on a warrant out of New Brunswick.

Traffic stops lead to multiple arrests on outstanding warrants
On April 24, James Beauvil, 39, of Ocean, turned himself in on a Wall Township traffic warrant. He was processed and released after posting bail, with Patrolman Cole Kennedy handling the arrest.
The following day, Patrolman Colucci arrested Darien Smith, 26, of Toms River, during a traffic stop on State Highway 138. Smith was charged with hindering apprehension and was found to have active traffic warrants out of Seaside Heights and Tuckerton. He was released on a summons and ROR’d by the other jurisdictions.
Repeat shoplifting suspect jailed; DWI charge filed
On April 26, Keeona Thomas, 32, of Asbury Park, was arrested on two active Wall Township criminal warrants related to prior shoplifting incidents at ShopRite. Patrolman Johan Moreno-Garcia transported her to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution following her arrest.
That same day, Patrolman Joshua Wheeler arrested Valentin Valdetano Luna, 39, of Long Branch, for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Allaire Road. He was processed and released under John’s Law, which mandates holding DWI offenders for a brief period before release to a sober adult.
