New ShopRite opening in Manahawkin promises big surprises for early shoppers
MANAHAWKIN, NJ – Something big is coming to Route 72 West. For weeks, residents driving through Manahawkin Commons have watched construction crews race to finish what’s now confirmed to be one of the largest and most modern ShopRite locations in Ocean County. And next week, the wait ends.
Before sunrise, hundreds are expected to line up outside the gleaming new supermarket for its long-awaited grand opening celebration — complete with a ribbon cutting, food trucks, and giveaways for the earliest arrivals. The first 200 customers through the doors will receive grocery gift bags packed with samples and coupons, as local officials and members of the Saker family welcome the community inside.
The new ShopRite of Manahawkin replaces the old Stafford Square location and more than doubles its footprint. Inside, shoppers will find an expanded meat and seafood department, a World Class bakery serving fresh breads and custom cakes, and a full-service deli offering Saker ShopRites’ World Class Kitchens and Dearborn Farms favorites. A pharmacy and ShopRite’s Order.Pickup.Deliver. service are also part of the new lineup, along with a floral department and a larger international foods section.
Richard Saker, president and CEO of Saker ShopRites, said the new store represents a promise to modernize the family’s retail presence while maintaining its neighborhood roots. “This new Manahawkin location reflects our commitment to quality and care,” Saker said. “We’re proud to offer a fresh, modern store that makes shopping easier and more enjoyable for every customer.”
