Shots fired at occupied Dover home with 8 people inside, police say

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Friday morning in Dover, where multiple gunshots were fired into a home occupied by eight people, including children.

The incident happened around 5:20 a.m. on Washington Place. According to authorities, unknown suspects fired an unspecified number of shots at the residence. At the time, five adults and three children were inside the home.

No injuries were reported.

“The incident remains under investigation,” Delaware State Police said in a statement.

Investigators have not released information about possible suspects or a motive.

Bullets struck the home, but police have not disclosed the extent of the damage. No arrests have been made as of Saturday morning.
