Silver Spring shooting leaves victim wounded as gunman flees

SILVER SPRING, MD — A man was shot and wounded early Friday morning in Silver Spring, sparking a massive police investigation as authorities search for the gunman.

Officers rushed to the 9300 block of Georgia Avenue just after 4:30 a.m. and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Fire and rescue crews arrived on the scene, but his current condition remains unknown.

Detectives have not released any details on a suspect or possible motive, leaving the community on edge as the investigation unfolds.

No arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411.

With the shooter still on the loose, authorities are working urgently to track down whoever is responsible for the violent attack.
