TAKE 5 top prize ticket sold in Johnson City
Johnson City, NY – A routine stop at a neighborhood market turned into a winning moment after a TAKE 5 ticket worth more than $18,000 was sold for the Saturday midday drawing, New York Lottery officials announced.
The winning ticket was purchased for the Jan. 31 TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing at Floral Avenue Market, located at 296 Floral Ave. in Johnson City. The ticket matched the top prize numbers and is valued at $18,411.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily. The midday drawing is televised at 2:30 p.m., while the evening drawing airs at 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes of any amount.
The New York Lottery reported it remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, generating $3.6 billion during the 2024–2025 fiscal year to support public schools across New York State.
