One juvenile charged while police hunt four suspects caught on surveillance video
WASHINGTON, DC — A group accused of breaking into a closed Washington, DC, business left a trail of damage before disappearing into the night, and while one juvenile has been charged, detectives are still searching for four additional suspects captured on surveillance cameras.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the burglary occurred at approximately 12:12 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at a business in the 3100 block of 14th Street Northwest.
Investigators said five suspects entered the closed business and damaged property inside before fleeing the scene.
On July 15, a 12-year-old girl from Northwest Washington turned herself in at a local police station.
She was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary.
Police said four additional suspects remain unidentified. Surveillance images of the suspects have been released as detectives continue working to identify those involved.
The investigation remains ongoing.
