July 3, 2024

STAFFORD, VA – Deputies and detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred over the weekend at First Auto Gallery LLC, located at 24 Derrick Lane.

On July 1, at approximately 9:38 a.m., Deputy C.M. Ramirez responded to a business alarm. The business owner, who was on the scene, reported a break-in. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a shattered glass door and confirmed the theft of five key fobs and two Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Security footage revealed that on June 30, at approximately 11:04 p.m., two male suspects used a rock to shatter the glass door and steal the key fobs from a key box. One suspect drove off in a Mercedes, striking a parked vehicle, while the second suspect also fled in a Mercedes.

Virginia State Police located one of the stolen vehicles driving recklessly on I-95 in Prince William, leading to a pursuit and the driver’s detention. The other vehicle remains missing and has been entered into a law enforcement database as stolen.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary is urged to contact Detective K.L. Warnick at 540-658-4450.
