Snow tubing season kicks off in New Jersey at Mountain Creek

VERNON, N.J. — The much-anticipated snow tubing season is officially underway in Vernon, with Mountain Creek Resort launching its all-new tubing center on Saturday, December 14, at Cobblestone Village. Promising family-friendly fun, the two-hour sessions are available by online reservation only, with no on-site ticket sales.

The tubing experience includes racing down a specially designed hill and being effortlessly transported back to the top by a “magic carpet” lift. Tickets are priced at $39.99 per person and are non-refundable. All participants must meet minimum height requirements of 42 inches to ride alone or 36 inches to ride in tandem with a responsible adult.

The snow tubing area features designated parking in the Vernon General Parking Lot, across from The Appalachian, and concessions are available on-site through a cashless food truck system. Guests are encouraged to dress warmly and are reminded that lockers are not available at the tubing hill.

“We’re thrilled to open the season with an enhanced snow tubing experience for families and groups,” said the event team. Safety remains a top priority, with strict riding guidelines such as seated-only positions and restrictions on linking tubes after dark.

The tubing sessions will run on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with reservations required in advance. Sessions are expected to sell out quickly, especially during the holiday season.

Mountain Creek’s snow tubing launch offers a festive outdoor adventure for families eager to embrace the winter season.
