Sources: christie not on ventilator on 6th day in hospital with covid-19

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is now on his sixth day in the hospital being treated for COVID-19 and sources have not confirmed whether or not he is on a ventilator. Some social media news outlets claimed Christie was on a ventilator but those reports have not been able to be independently verified. Christie has not made a statement personally since entering the hospital over the weekend. His current condition is unknown. Christie is 58 years old and suffers from asthma. While in office, Christie underwent weight loss surgery. Christie had prepped President Donald J. Trump prior to last week’s presidential debate. Christie tested positive shortly after it was confirmed that the President also tested positive. Trump is now recovering at the White House and has been in good spirits in recent days.

Current Governor Phil Murphy said he has been in contact with Christie.

“I exchanged notes with Governor Christie last night. I shot him a note and I have no further insight than that, just to say we are here for him, and he was very gracious in his reply,” Murphy said at his Thursday COVID-19 briefing. “But he is a fighter, there can be no doubt about it. He is the quintessential Jersey fighter. We’re all with him in thoughts, prayers, and we’re here to do anything we can for him.”

Sources close to Christie claim he is not on a ventilator and continues his hospitalization for medical precaution only.
