Investigators reviewed 72 videos Bennett uploaded in 2024, many of which displayed “a male… traveling at reckless speeds on public roadways,” according to court documents. Despite disclaimers embedded in the videos claiming “All content is filmed in Mexico” with “no affiliation to the poster,” authorities confirmed the footage was recorded on Connecticut roads.

The helmet-cam footage helped police identify distinct landmarks along I-84 and I-91, verifying the routes taken during the stunts.

Charges and court proceedings

Bennett was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was taken into custody without incident and is expected to appear in court later this month.
