Stafford County Sheriff Reports Assault at Local Business

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—The Office of Stafford County Sheriff, David “DP” Decatur, reported an assault incident at Genesis Logistics on Tuesday. The event occurred at 705 Bradburn Place on the morning of Sunday, May 27, 2024, at 3:25 AM.

Sergeant A.T. Leckemby was called to the scene following a disturbance involving an employee who was being dismissed as part of an internal investigation.

According to the staff, the employee reacted violently and assaulted his supervisor when asked to leave. As a result of the altercation, the employee, who is now unlikely to return to work, has been issued a permitted warrant for assault and battery.
