Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Reports DUI Incident at Motel 6

Stafford County, VA – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has reported a DUI incident that occurred early on July 23rd near Motel 6 on Warrenton Road.

At approximately 12:56 AM, Sergeant J.T. Forman and Deputy J.A. Martin responded to a call regarding a driver whose behavior appeared “wrong,” and whose vehicle was off the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies found the 40-year-old driver physically stuck in the mud and showing signs of intoxication. The driver had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and admitted to consuming about three beers before driving.

The individual was charged with driving under the influence and drinking while driving. He was subsequently held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. This incident underscores the ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address and deter impaired driving in the community.
