Staten Island lottery ticket triples into $150K payday

Power Play delivers six-figure win in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Powerball ticket sold on Staten Island turned into a six-figure payday after the Power Play option boosted the prize to $150,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at Curtis Hill NY Food on Daniel Low Terrace for the March 18 drawing.

The prize was earned by matching four white balls and the Powerball, typically worth $50,000, but the Power Play multiplier increased the payout to $150,000.

Power Play allows players to multiply non-jackpot winnings by up to 10 times, depending on the draw.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

Winners have up to one year to claim their prize.
