BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 25-year-old woman was brutally attacked Saturday evening during a ride on a southbound L train near the Livonia Avenue subway station, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:33 p.m. when the victim got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified man. The altercation escalated, and the man began punching her repeatedly in the face and kicking her in the head multiple times.

The suspect fled the train at the Livonia Avenue subway station, leaving the woman with skull fractures. Emergency medical services transported her to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

Police have not yet identified the suspect or made any arrests.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to locate the individual responsible for the assault.
