Suffolk County court to hear range of violent and narcotics cases Monday

Riverhead, NY – The Suffolk County criminal court docket for Monday includes a series of high-profile cases ranging from murder and kidnapping to large-scale drug trafficking and robbery, according to court filings.

Judges are scheduled to preside over hearings, conferences, and sentencing updates across multiple courtrooms beginning December 15.

The proceedings highlight an array of serious charges currently moving through the county’s justice system.

Multiple homicide cases set for hearings

Among the most serious matters, Christopher Clarke is due before Judge Horowitz for a hearing in a first-degree murder case alleging intentional homicide. Zanoor Jaafari will appear before Judge Senft Jr. on charges of first-degree murder involving multiple victims in the same criminal transaction.

Another defendant, identified as John Doe under docket IND-72956-24/003, faces a second-degree murder charge accusing him of causing the death of a non-participant during a felony. A separate case against Steven Schwally, charged with depraved indifference murder, is scheduled for a motion hearing before Judge Ambro.

Steven Pesantez and Christopher Hudler are both scheduled for conferences related to second-degree methamphetamine possession and third-degree narcotics distribution, respectively.

Other violent and felony cases listed

The docket also includes Robert Brozowski, charged with first-degree assault for allegedly inflicting serious injury with a weapon, and Galo Macasfreire, accused of second-degree kidnapping, both set for conferences before Judge Wilutis.

Two defendants listed under the name John Doe face separate first-degree robbery charges involving what prosecutors describe as the display of a firearm. Additional cases include conspiracy, child endangerment, unlawful surveillance, and criminal mischief.

Sentencing and compliance updates scheduled

Practitioner Jessica Martinis and defendant Omar Heson are each scheduled for sentencing updates before Judge Goglas, while several others, including Josue Bedell and Gerard Pico, are set for conferences or compliance appearances.
