WILDWOOD, N.J. — A woman was injured after being run over by a police vehicle while she was relaxing on the beach in Wildwood last week, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, as confirmed by Wildwood Police Chief Joseph Murphy. The officer involved was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck, a standard vehicle used by the department.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained significant injuries, including broken ribs, three fractured vertebrae, and a lung injury, according to information provided by WPVI-TV. The station cited the victim’s boyfriend as the source of this information.
