Surveillance Footage Released in Hunt for Shocking Daycare Burglary Suspect

Washington, DC—Authorities are urging the public to help locate a suspect in a burglary at a daycare in Southeast DC.

On October 11, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the suspect forcibly entered the establishment located in the 1100 block of Varney Street, Southeast. After stealing property, the suspect fled the scene.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, which may aid in the investigation.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for crimes in the District of Columbia.
