Suspect arrested for sexual assault of 15-year-old, backed by DNA test

BAKER COUNTY, FL – On December 9, detectives with the Baker County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kevin Michael Wilkerson (44 years old) for sexual battery. The complaint was made to BCSO in August by the mother of the 15-year-old victim, who learned that the abuse had been going on for several years. Certain items of evidence that were collected during the initial investigation were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for further analysis, and the DNA results later revealed that the victim’s allegations were consistent with the biology reports. At the conclusion of an interview with Wilkerson, detectives arrested him for sexual battery upon the minor. He is being held at the Baker County Detention Center with no bond.
