ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis man, Luis Marvin Leiva-Fonseca, was arrested on Thursday, March 8, 2024, following the recovery of a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of Forbes Street. Annapolis Police officers responded to the scene around 2:49 p.m. after being alerted to the vehicle’s recovery.

A company representative on site informed officers of spotting Leiva-Fonseca, a suspect from a previous vehicle theft, at the District Court House. Police located Leiva-Fonseca, who was found in possession of a microchip key fob linked to the stolen vehicle. After confirming the key fob operated the recovered vehicle, officers arrested Leiva-Fonseca and charged him in connection with the theft.
