Suspect in D.C. Shooting That Wounded Child Apprehended in N.C.

WASHINGTON, DC—A suspect involved in a Northeast shooting that injured an adult male and a young girl has been apprehended in North Carolina. The incident occurred late in the evening on April 23 in the 4800 block of North Capitol Street.

Responding to reports of gunfire, Fourth District officers found two victims with gunshot wounds, which were deemed non-life-threatening after they were rushed to local hospitals.

On Wednesday, the Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 29-year-old Alante Partlow in Greensboro, NC. Partlow, originally from Northeast D.C., was on a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault while Armed.

The ongoing investigation indicates that the suspect knew the victims. Partlow will undergo extradition to be returned to Washington, D.C.
