Suspect Sought in June Newark Shooting

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a shooting that occurred earlier this month in the area of South Orange Avenue and Dover Street, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr.

The incident took place around 9:57 p.m. on June 14. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the foot and was transported to University Hospital for treatment. Officials say the suspects are known to frequent the Vailsburg neighborhood.

Investigators released images of the individuals sought in connection with the shooting and are urging anyone with information to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
