Suspect Still at Large Following Shots-Fired Incident in Wilmerding

Wilmerding, PA – County Police are actively seeking a suspect tied to a shots-fired incident in Wilmerding. The incident, which took place around 5:40 am on Wednesday, involved multiple firearms being discharged into a residence on Airbrake Avenue. It was confirmed that all eight individuals inside the residence at the time, including five adults and three juveniles, were unharmed.

Detectives, in the course of their investigation, recovered more than 30 shell casings from the scene, along with projectiles found within the residence, including the area where the juveniles were sleeping. Two suspects, 19-year-old Braden Hicks and 16-year-old Darnell Edge, were identified by detectives.

Both individuals face charges that include aggravated assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure. Edge is currently in custody, while Hicks remains at large. County Police are urging anyone with information on Hicks’ whereabouts to contact the County Police Tip Line.
