Suspects in D.C. Shooting Caught on Surveillance Camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A shooting on Division Avenue has prompted a call for community assistance to identify two suspects involved. On Friday, August 2, 2024, at around 7:14 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire in the 600 block of Division Avenue, Northeast.

The victim reported that a verbal argument escalated when one suspect retrieved a firearm from a second suspect and began shooting. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, which can be seen in this video.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects or the incident is urged to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this violent crime.
