The incident began when Virginia Beach Police were tracking a stolen vehicle from their city and notified Chesapeake Police as the pursuit entered their jurisdiction.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., the vehicle crashed on the ramp, and multiple suspects fled on foot, firing at pursuing officers.

No officers were injured during the exchange, and all suspects were taken into custody shortly afterward.
